Recommend; good design
This is a nice-looking bird feeder and I like that it has an anti-bacterial coating. I filled it with suet balls and suet bark butter bits, as well as shelled peanuts. Wrens and native song sparrows love it. Squirrels and starlings (I have a starlings who mob my feeders and scare away other birds) can not get food from this and leave it alone. My only complaint is other than wrens and sparrows, other birds (my downy woodpecker, chickadees, etc) seem hesitant to go inside the cage to feed. Maybe with more time (it's been up several weeks) they'll use it.

Needs few minor improvements otherwise perfect.
Have a few adjustable weighted feeders but grackels and other large birds are still able to get their share so I wanted to look for a metal cage feeder. This one is nearly perfect, solid metal design and the outer cage is far enough that most birds can't reach the tube other than the largest woodpeckers who even they struggle. Nice thing about this peanut feeder is that it can also hold a 3" suet log (see video). Not many reviews on this product (search Gardman BA01821) but the few out there complain of how the outer lid easily comes off if you're not careful. If that happens, the entire feeder will be separated from whatever it is hanging from as the handles are attached to the outer lid and not the cage. Simple fix is to use secure each side of the handle to the outer cage. I used stainless wire key ring cables ($6 off Amazon for set of 25). Note the outer lid only needs to come off for cleanings but given the inner tube is mesh and entirely covered, you really don't have to do it that often as compared to a plastic tube seed feeder.
