Magnets allow jiffy removal of basin. I appreciate this as I follow the 4,3,2 rule: clean every 4 days in winter, every 3 days in spring/fall, and every 2 days in summer. Simply rinse with soap and water, then place in bowl/pot and pour hot water over to sanitize, or alternatively, let sit in 1:10 bleach to water for a bit. Prevent mold from growing on holes and syrup. Sometimes brush holes. No fuss removal and replacement of basin with the magnets. I am getting a couple more as the rufous are here now and are territorial. Will only get this model with the magnets.

I hang this petite feeder from my lilac tree right outside my kitchen window. It is constantly in use by one of the many ruby-throat hummingbirds in our New Hampshire garden. I have at least 5 different hummingbird feeders and so far this one is the best for ease of cleaning. It also doesn't seem to attract bees and wasps like my other nectar feeders.

It's beautiful. The hummers love it. The small size is good for me. But the magnet connector pieces are fragile. They don't look fragile, but they do wear out and split open. I've had to buy a new one every year. I don't have kids, but I would NOT recommend letting kids help refill this one or it'll wear out sooner. Nor would it be good for people who need a larger reservoir. But yes, I'm buying yet another . . . it's just so pretty.

Love this thing. Magnetic connector is brilliant making it easy to fill and return. Have had it for about 30 days and so far has not leaked. Small size of reservoir insures freshness of nectar. Will be ordering another.

I love this little feeder! It's attractive, small enough to hang or post anywhere. And the hummers love it! Last year, I hung one under my umbrella table. A little male came to it frequently, and it was a joy to sit back and watch a hummingbird so close. Plus the umbrella table gave it some shelter. The amount of nectar is small, only 4 ounces, but that works for for me - easy to clean and refill. If you have many hummingbirds around your yard (lucky you!) you may want a bigger feeder. I have two of these feeders right now, and I plan on buying a third. Hang it by your kitchen window, patio table, post in your garden - I love the endless ideas this feeder has! And the hummingbirds look so cute on it.
