Bluebirds love it!
I love this feeder. Meal worms are expensive but if you want lots of bluebirds, this is the food they like. The large birds hang on the side and try to get the worms that the bluebirds toss out. I have to teach those bluebirds to keep the food in the dish. lol I have to laugh because some of the bluebirds look too fat to get in between the bars. Makes me want to help push them in. Looking to buy another for shell free sunflower seed.

Blue Bird Feeder
I never write reviews....but this feeder is awesome. You do have to be patient it takes awhile for the bluebirds to figure it out. I did add some sticks so they could perch and it really does help. The starlings come by but quickly move on when they can't get in. Love it!

The best bluebird feeder
I have purchased several, about 10 different types of bluebird feeders. This one is the ONLY one that actually keeps starlings out. The bluebirds love it. I did purchase the perch attachment for it also. I highly recommend this feeder. Definitely money well spent and saves a tin of money on mealworm purchases.

This birdfeeder is FANTASTIC! It WORKS!!!!
We have had this feeder for a while now. At first you can't believe the bluebirds will fit through the tiny holes but they DO. They fly in and out with ease. It's absolutely perfect. We must have very picky birds because they tend to come mostly when the mealworms are nice and fresh. A few house finches make their way in but they don't stay long because they don't like the worms as much. Woodpeckers, starlings, doves and larger birds try to get in but they can't and give up. It's easy to clean (especially with a magic eraser). I read that some people add a perch. We will be doing that as bluebirds do like to perch. HIGHLY recommend this feeder. Just give birds a bit to get used to it and they will return. Guaranteed.

Not 100% perfect but better than most.
I did what another reader suggested and replaced the glass dish with a taller, plastic carry out bowl, secured with the screw. That works great and my bluebirds and babies love it and have no problem, whatsoever, entering the feeder. However, the sparrows and finches get in 2 or 3 at a time and sprinkle the worms onto the inside platform. Consequently have one wily catbird who figured out if he hangs on the outside he can squeeze his head in and eat the worms that have been scattered by the finches! It’s a constant battle but so far this has been the best way to keep the grackles out and worth the money.
