This feeder strikes the absolute perfect balance between form and function. Beautiful, but not "decorative". No windows, picket fences, or cable TV. Just a beautifully crafted platform feeder, and covered, as well. And not just one platform, but two. Solid construction. (Heavy. Do not be fooled by the pictures online; this is a substantial bird feeder). i was VERY surprised at how large it is. High-traffic, high-volume feeding station! The screened flooring has tiny holes which are smaller than most. Allows for nyjer seeds to be added to any mixture you make or choose. No risk of loosing even the smallest of seeds out the bottom. I have a fruit/nut/seed/berry mix on the "second floor"; "First floor" tray has safflower/sunflower blend. Open construction makes for excellent viewing. One of the best feeders, of any kind, on the market. Highly recommend, without reservation!
