BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE
My family has been buying the satellite feeders for YEARS. JUst love them. SO I decided to try the cling a wing but feel they are actually bit harder to fill and get moisture in it. BUT the reurn service was terrifc and I changed to satellite feeders and I have many freinds I can give them to. Our community is new and many will be ordering from DUNCRAFT!!

Cute little feeder!
I received one of these feeders as a gift for Christmas in 2020. Once the birds figured out how to get the sunflower chips out it became one of their favorite feeders! It's adorable and easy to fill! The irruption of Pine Siskins and concerns about salmonella this winter have highlighted the importance of keeping feeders clean. Fortunately, the Cling-A-Wing is very easy to keep clean! Love this feeder!

Great feeder now with cork cap!
We have happily used the "Cling-A-Wing" for years, the last time ordering the three-pack, as the feeders DO manage to be knocked down and broken by bears, elk, and intelligent flickers and magpies, despite our best defenses. The only Con we have , as is often mentioned here, is the plastic cap, which seems to disintegrate quickly, and while the cost of replacement thru Duncraft is acceptable, the total cost is high for just another short-lived cap. So I want here to thank the reviewer Paladin55 for his totally workable suggestion of replacing the ripped caps with #7 silicon corks, a perfect fit, which should do the job indefinitely. Now, we are completely happy with the Cling-a-wing's function and would certainly recommend it to those who have the range of birds we have here in the Colorado Rocky Mountain foothills.

ok , not great
use with other feeders ,such as platform to keep medium birds off because squirrels are lazy - so are grackles and starlings. put a tray out they will hit that first. if empty they will dump the globes. my squirrels gnawed the holes bigger to fit their heads in. but i still like these.

yes
I can use this feeder only during the winter, but it is the only feeder I use during the winter for small birds filled only with sunflower chips. I have a seed feeder with a timer that releases feed 4 times a day for all of the birds. During the winter this globe feeder gives the gold finches and chickadees a much better chance to get the food because the House finches can't cling as long. During the summer the Grackles and Red Wing Blackbirds, both clingers, figure out how to use it so I switch to caged feeders to keep the bigger birds at their feed seeder, again using sunflower chips in the small bird feeders. Unfortunately by late summer the house finches have taken over the the caged feeders and I can't wait to get the globe feeders back up for the gold finches, which I do as soon as the Grackles leave. Chickadees don't care about the house finches, they are fearless.
