Offer songbirds a roost all year long with the Convertible Bird House & Winter Roost.
Our house can be used as a nesting box in the summer, and quickly altered to a roosting
spot for the winter nights. During winter months, the entrance hole needs to be located at the bottom
of the home. This allows warm air to rise and remain inside, rather than escape. Three perches offer room for
several birds to roost at once.
In warmer months, remove the perches and invert the front panel, aligning it with the base
instead of the roof of the house. This allows warm air to escape,
to keep the home cool for summers hot days. A small gap at the top of the door offers summer ventilation,
and the metal guard around the entrance hole discourages squirrels.
Slanted roof keeps water out, and front panel lifts easily for cleaning.
Mount on a building, post, or tree, and secure it with additional screws. Solid white pine
construction will never need paint or stain, and will add a natural touch to your yard. Made in our workshop.
