I have had the wooden version of this for a few years and the squirrels love it, but I didn't because I could not keep the wood clean. The squirrels also liked to chew on the wood. I have the hanging jar feeder made of this material and I love how easy it is to keep clean. I was so excited to see this version made of this material. I had to purchase this as soon as I saw it. It is so nice looking and will be a breeze to keep clean. I don't screw it into the tree, but hang it snug against the trunk and a branch by small vinyl covered chains. (As a life long camper, I have a strong aversion to screwing things into trees.) It is going to be so awesome to have a clean feeder for my squirrels.
