The base is made from non-porous recycled plastic, which is easy to clean. Perfect for serving dried mealworms, nuggets or our miracle crumble. Feeder measures 10 x 7 x 9-1/2 inches tall.

The perfect feeder to control your mealworm supply!
This feeder is perfect for our needs! This is the only thing that allows our Black-capped Chickadees to feed in peace and not have to compete with anyone for the supply of live mealworns! We bought extra plexiglass panels to seal up the sides and now it is perfect! I would suggest that Duncraft post a more realistic photo showing what will happen if you just dump the mealworms in without putting them in an interior cup! We have been feeding mealworms for long enough to know that they will shinny up the corners to escape sharp beaks and feet ... wouldn't you?!?? I had prepared by buying a small unbreakable glass ramekin that is the best way to go! I also padded the metal hook where it hangs to protect the hanging wire from wear! I am also going to fashion a bracket to prevent movement in the wind! These are just things you might want to do if you buy one! I love this feeder ... so do our DeeDees ... once they figured it out they each developed their individual methods of ingress and egress ... fun to watch only 2.5 feet from our window! If you are tired of Robins, House Sparrows, etc. gobbling up your mealworms this thing works!
