I bought The Duncraft Original Tube Feeder in 1991. (It's plain metal, not green) The plastic tube just cracked in several places this winter. 2022. Now that's getting my money's worth!

I put out many feeders, especially in the winter months. I don't mind spreading out a cup or two of seed with nuts for the squirrels - it keeps them off the feeders. This feeder is by far the favorite - all the birds go to this feeder as the seed is easily accessible. After 20 years the feeder has survived a raccoon assault and squirrels hanging on trying to get the seed. A bit beat up as the paint is chipped here and there, but still looks pretty good. My 87 year mother-n-law loves the feeder as it is easy for her to put seed in with no help. I continue to love and appreciate this feeder.

I purchased one of these bird feeders 14 yrs ago and it's still going strong, but I wanted a new one. This feeder is used all year in all seasons and is still functional. I just ordered another one. I've seen the newer brands, but this one really lasts so I'll stick with what works.

This feeder has been used year-round for 15 years in Michigan. All finches love it, as well as nuthatches, chickadees, and other smaller birds. It refuses to give up or break...one cannot expect anything more than that. If you want an American-made highest quality tube feeder which does exactly what it is designed to do then this is the one you need.
