This has always been my favorite feeder
I am so disappointed to see this "out of stock". I have watched this and other websites for two years hoping to see it reappear in stock. While I have many other feeders around the yard, this one sits on my patio, under a pergola. It offers protection from the weather and from birds of prey. I use it in combo with a clear dome and that keeps the squirrels from getting at it. The smaller birds love not having to compete on the other feeders. Mine Super Cling a Wing is so old, it's held together with duck tape, but I continue to repair and hope for seeing new ones on the market again.

Those wonderful globe feeders
I am back, as I've tried to find the 10" size to no avail. The reason they are so wonderful is in the winter, when the hawks come around, the smaller birds will hide in the ball. It is quite amazing to watch them not move a feather while the hawk is out and about. We will have 3-4 birds inside the feeder at a time. I have it hung on our front porch just in from the edge of the roof/gutter. Squirrels cannot get to it from the roof and if they try to jump on it, they slide right off. Now and then a Flicker is hanging from the side eating seeds, but not very often. We have purple finches, english sparrows, winter sparrows and flickers, rarely. We love these feeders. I typically bought two at at time, but would buy four, just so I have backups.

The birds love them and so do we!
I love these balls and have used them for years. My husband attempted to clean out and shake down the seed and it fell apart. Duncraft does not have the 10 inch diameter in stock. The birds are lost and so am I. Hopefully they get them back in soon.

Your little birds will LOVE this feeder!
LOVE this feeder and so do the little birds. It did take a little while for them to get used to it. Strongly recommend placing a large domed baffle over it however and hanging the feeder from that - the first day we had it a squirrel got to it from above the pole and chewed through the top feeder slot! Also, the occassional blue jays have devised ways to 'cling' and grab a seed, but it's not too much of a problem. We keep shelled sunflower chips and peanuts in addition to sunflowers in the shells. Finches, Titmice, chickadees and even cardinals just love this - I think they feel safe too. This is going to be perfect in the winter.

Disapointed
The starlings were in my super cling-a-wing in a matter of minutes. They DID cling to the openings. I thought it would be safe to put shelled peanuts in the feeder since starlings can't cling. Not the case. It may be a good feeder, just leave out the peanuts.
