Squirrel jar feeder doubles as a bird feeder too!

Fill this gallon jar with Wildlife Snack, Snack-Jax, peanuts, Squirrel Corn Nuggets or corn on the cob. Then fill the tray located under the jar with your favorite bird seed. Squirrels love scampering in and out for these yummy foods, and birds will fly in to stop for a treat.

The jar keeps food fresh and dry and the durable, recycled plastic holder resists chewing or claw marks. This is a beautiful material and so easy to keep clean! Glass jar, green recycled plastic, includes a six foot pole. Glass jar holds up to 4 pounds and the feeding tray below holds up to 1-1/2 pounds. Feeder is 8-1/4 x 14 inches tall. Made in the USA.

A Versatile Feeding Station
Both the birds and the squirrels love this thing: Often-times, the squirrel will go right inside the jar, find something and then turn around and eat it, with his head sticking out of the jar. Pretty cool. The birds will go inside the jar, sometimes, too. The squirrels (and birds) often eat from the tray (I have my feeder propped up against a small tree, so the squirrels hang onto the tree while they eat). The tray has drain holes so the rain does not pool up. I was concerned about water pooling up in the jar, but it has not been a problem. The squirrels knock some of the food out onto the ground when they spin around inside or jump out, so that works for the ground feeders. To clean, pull the jar up, along with the attached first section of pole (16") and bring it over to the hose, or just spray the hose inside it (my hand fit inside the jar to clean and I take a size L glove). I can't say how reliable the pole is...Depends on how compact your soil is. Stick it down at least a foot. Like I say, I tied mine to a narrow-trunked tree. I surely am enjoying this clear feeder.
