Offer the most popular kind of seed!

Fill this Mini Magnum to the brim with Black Oil Sunflower Seeds, proven to be the most popular kind of seed with the average bird. While it only holds 3/4 lbs. of seed, birds will keep flocking to the decorative and functional design because of the food inside, as well as the ample perching space on the metal screens. The seed tray catches excess seed and creates more feeding space, while the top easily opens for filling and cleaning.

Constructed entirely of steel and meant to be hung, the Mini Magnum has a diameter of 4-3/4 inches and a height of 11-3/4 inches.

  • Mini Magnum Sunflower Feeder, holds 3/4 lb. of seed
  • Watch birds flock to your yard for a taste of sunflower seed
  • Features steel mesh openings with a seed tray to catch scattered seed
  • Easy to clean with filling from the top

Secret Squirrel-Resistant Feature
If you can prevent them from climbing down the cable somehow, you have a good chance at keeping squirrels off of this, because it does not provide a large landing platform. They try to jump on, but will often fail, also because it is so light, it bounces away from them when they land. it does hold a good amount, though, and since you won't be feeding squirrels, the food will last a bit. I've seen birds as large as Cardinals land on the round perch and eat, which was a surprise to see. I use black oil sunflower seeds and peanut hearts. This feeder is a big hit out back. Every once in a while, you have to tighten the little nut at the bottom. All-metal. Easy to clean, fill.

Nice small feeder
This is a recent purchase (earlier this month), so I can't speak to long-term use pros & cons. The top of the feeder doesn't lock into place, so we wired it shut to prevent accidental (or not so accidental) openings. We hung it from an accessible (to us) tree limb that looked sturdy enough to hold the feeder, but not so sturdy that squirrels, possums & raccoons could visit. This is working out fine so far. After a couple of weeks, chickadees were the first to notice it & since then titmice & cardinals have also been seen paying flying visits. We also bought the companion nyjer feeder, but it's not getting any action yet. Obviously, this feeder is too small to handle large birds or large quantities of birds, but this would be great for a small yard or as a first feeder to introduce birds to your yard. Since our yard is pretty large, I'm planning to buy more & spread them around the trees on limbs that aren't squirrel friendly.
