This is an attractive bird bath that nestles well in a planting and is easy to clean with a soft brush. It is lightweight, so I got a scrap piece of PVC pipe that fit the hole in the bottom of the base and drove that into the ground. Then I mounted the bath over the pipe. That has provided a stable base, even standing up to heavy wind gusts. To help keep it clean and attract birds I added a solar-power fountain. However, because the basin is only about 14" wide, every fountain attachment would drain the bath quickly. Finally I left the attachments off and it has worked fine as a bubbler. Since making that change I have been able to go four or five days between refills and cleaning.
