A diner for families, pole included!

Bluebirds prefer to eat inside a feeder and this is the perfect setting. In the spring, welcome the rest of the family by removing the upper half of each plastic side panel to allow easier access for young birds. Internal perching helps fledglings learn to use the two 1-1/2 inch side entry holes. Pole included for mounting. Constructed of pine. 12 x 8-1/2 x 9 inches.

Not worth the money
This is an attractive feeder, but I have not had much success with bluebirds using it. Some will fly in if sides are removed, but then other birds can enter as well. Even adults have not entered through holes. I could not get the pole to support the feeder without using a pole stabilizer, which is not included. The instructions included with the feeder said It was not necessary to place mealworms in a dish because they could not climb out. They do not climb on the plexiglass but they can climb on the wooden ends of the feeder. A lot of worms are wasted. They are also wasted when placing mealworms in a small glass dish as there is little room and worms are thrown from dish. I never had more than one bluebird at a time to actually enter the feeder.

Blue birds love it so do squirrels
The blue birds love this feeder but it's to easy for the squirrels and starkings to get in. One they start they eat everything. I had to put the full glass back in now the blue birds are afraid to go in. It may take a bit but the blue birds should start using it again once they know the starlings can't get in.
