A joy to have
I put this up this winter and filled it with mealworms and within 3 weeks I had a bluebird at the feeder. Within the next week I had 2 coming and this week Ive seen up to 5 jumping between the feeder and the trees. I've also had nuthatches, woodpeckers and titmouse enjoy it. I fill it at least every other day now and just told my husband we may go bankrupt keeping it filled LOL. Its worth it, the birds are beautiful! So far no problem with petty birds.

Birds love this feeder
Bluebirds and wrens absolutely flock to this feeder for mealworm. I have to fill it every day. I love everything about it except the hood that is attached to the plastic broke away from the feeder. So I improvised with a gear tie and that solved the problem. The feeder itself needs something added to support the hook.

Works great, just not with mealworms
I had seen a few bluebirds (or so I thought) in my yard earlier in the spring, so I bought this feeder and mealworms hoping to keep them around. No such luck! Bluebirds were not to be seen again and none of my birds would touch this feeder or the mealworms. I was so frustrated I put the feeder away. Until recently, I had an extra hook on my deck, I decided to fill it with a variety of other seeds/peanuts and within a few days it has become a very popular feeder! Nuthatches, chickadees and finches! The feeder is well made and easy to clean. I guess I just don't have mealworm loving birds?!
