We've had these poles for over a decade in northwestern CT, and I am buying a new one because we lost part of one to a bear last night. With baffles and the HOT squirrel repellent in the seed, they are near squirrel proof. I am buying another pole as we had a bear go after the bird seed last night. It broke 6 inches off the bottom of one pole, and a rung off another, but thanks to the hot seed, he left before trying to attack the third pole which is fine. I am happy with how the poles stood up to the bear, and though one is now six inches shorter it is back in service. One lost a rung, but is still standing. Excellent product!

The squirrel has discovered he can climb this pole from the ground. I have thickly applied vaseline to the pole and have not seen the squirrel climb pole since.....but he may be content with all the spilled seed on the ground and when he runs out he might try again. I will watch and see if this vaseline does the trick. It's a beautiful hangar and a beautiful squirrel just not the two together.

We needed a tall bird feeder pole and this looked to be the best.The price is high but the quality seems to be good. I can't speak to the durability since we have only had it up for a few weeks. Hopefully it will hold up to year round use in the Northeast. I was surprised by the lack of instructions but the assembly was easy. I especially like the auger base.

This is a wonderful pole. It is strong and very stable. I have three large feeders on it and they are holding very well. It attracted many birds right away and I believe it was because of the height. The pole is a wonderful height, is rust proof, and looks very nice. It was super fast, super easy to install. My husband put it up in five minutes. I couldn't be happier with this reliable pole. It is not cheap or flimsy. It was well worth the cost.
