We don't mind the squirrels but this year the squirrels have chewed the small bar of plastic at the base of the hopper. Last years group did not do that. Wish I could buy a new bar to replace the chewed ones. (Each side) Need to be able to buy replacement pieces!

I was eager to receive this feeder because it is multi-functional. I feed the birds alot !! Within 20 minutes of putting this feeder up I had a huge woodpecker come feed, doves, finches, tufted titmouse, wren, nuthatch, and sparrows.. No kidding, This feeder is the party station for the birds. I like that it has 2 side trays with an area of mesh to hold the seed in and also 2 inner feeder areas. The birds use both. They even seem more attracted to the feeder because there is a mesh area on the top they can cling to. This feeder is also compact and attractive. I don't think the picture does it justice.

The larger platform provides more room, allowing birds both smaller and larger, to feed more comfortably.
