Clearview is the clear choice for bird watching!

Clearview plastic roof gives you an excellent view of your native backyard birds in action! Simply fill platform tray with whole sunflower hearts, suet, or seed.

The roof overhangs by 1-1/2 inches and keeps the food dry, while large fly-thrus provide easy access to food. No mess wire grid insert prevents seed from being scattered, and is secured by two swivel hooks. Perforated aluminum bottom allows for excellent drainage. Entire tray removes for easy cleaning. Ground, deck, or post mount.

Includes two mounting screws. UV stabilized plastic and tan poly-lumber. Stands 1 inch off the ground. 12 x 10 x 10 inches. Made in the USA.

This is the perfect platform feeder.....would recommend!
I bought this platform feeder specifically for the rare Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches that are (for the first time) visiting my deck. They prefer seed on the ground/in the open so I needed a platform feeder. I do not have many mature trees and get a lot of snow so also wanted something that was covered. I have had regular Gray-crowed Rosy-Finches visiting this feeder!!! SO HAPPY!

IS SMALLER THAN APPEARS TO BE IN CATALOG PHOTO
Just set this up 1 wk. ago - replaces an all metal feeder that did not do well over winter [rusted]. That should not be a prob. with this one, with the alum.screen under seeds & coated grid above, plus the sim.wood construction. My condo assoc. does not allow bird feeders & this is easy to hide under a PVC parson's table. I must have a feeder on the ground for the doves, who do not go to any of my other [also hidden] feeders. My defense against squirrels there is to use "No Squirrel" seed, which does work! The doves & blue jays can fit in to the feeder OK.The "CONS" are that both the "wood" & esp.the top, are VERY vulnerable to squirrel chews. I currently have a small, spiteful squirrel that is chewing everything plastic in sight on my patio! Prior to even putting out this new feeder I covered every edge of the top with duct tape, hoping to prevent him from cracking the top with his 1st.bite! He may decide to chew the "wood" instead.[Meanwhile, I ordered a squirrel trap today & plan to re-locate him ASAP when it arrives! Lastly, re: the plastic tabs, whose purpose is to hold the grid in place. Not practable for the long term, as I may already have cracked one of them the 2nd time I filled the tray. When I set it up I had to use a screw-driver to back-out one of the screws to loosen the tab so it would not break off. Seems to me it would be wise to make an improvement there ASAP & change them to aluminum. Also, would suggest a strip of metal to protect the edges of the top from attempted squirrel chews. Other than these issues, I am hopeful that this feeder will meet my needs & would recommend it when those issues are out-weighed by the advantages to each individual purchaser.
