1. Place decals and bird silhouettes on the outside of the windows -- no more than 10” apart. The special “ultraviolet decals" that we offer allow the birds to see a brilliant glow. 2. Hang obstacles on the outside of the window such as ribbon, strings of feathers or other material in strips no more than 6 inches apart. 3. Reduce the mirror-effect in existing buildings by placing light colored material (white drapes or blinds) behind the glass to reduce open sky reflections. 4. Feeders should be placed within 3-feet of windows or directly on the window glass. Use window brackets and hanging poles to ensure your feeders are within this 3-foot safty zone. Feeding close to the house prevents birds from striking windows at a high rate of cruising speed and you better viewing. 5. Cover windows with netting, preferably soccer net grade. Leave space between glass and netting as it will act as a trampoline if birds should hit it.
