Such a variety of birds love this gorgeous bird feeder! I just saw 8 finches eating from the saucer! I love watching the mated pairs of Evening Grosbeaks, Western Tanagers, Black-Headed Grosbeaks, and Bullock's Orioles eat from the saucer! Smaller birds such as Chickadees, Nuthatches, Pigmy Nuthatches, Finches, and Pine Siskins eat from the openings and the tray. We have been having a lot of rain - the beautiful, sturdy weather baffle keeps the seeds dry. I love the heavy-duty metal perches. The tray is also sturdy with a nice width and depth. The cost seems high, but consider that you receive three beautifully designed parts. Sometimes, you do get what you pay for! The birds and I love it so much that I am ordering a second one!

It only took the birds a couple of days to try out the new feeder, and now they love it. I chose this feeder because of the easy clean removable base feature as well as the bottom tray which serves two purposes. It makes less mess on the ground and birds feed there while all the ports are occupied. I'm well pleased and it's a lovely feeder.
