a bear got into my property and killed the babies I had, they were almost ready to fly away so I bought two of these with the guards, they are flimsy but I hope the guard will at least protect them somewhat

Love this house
Live in Southern PA. Have had bluebirds to my Duncraft jar feeder all winter. Today my son put up this house. I love it. Within 30 min. I had a couple checking it out. They have been busy removing the cedar chips. I think they are setting up house to start a family. Wonderful can't wait for babies.

Does anyone know how hot these blue bluebird houses get in the summer . I don’t have any trees around except 1 dogwood and it would be too low to the house.

Love this house but keep the sparrows out
Just got this about 2 weeks ago. I had to fight the House Sparrows to stay out. I removed their nest several times. I had to do some serious monitoring but it paid off because today Bluebirds moved in. The house is well built and seems as if it'll be easy to clean. I can't wait to watch the baby Bluebirds.

I would buy again
I have had this house several years and birds wouldn't use it. I put it facing east and have the pole attached to a small tree. They are constantly removing the chips I think I may have to remove them. Love the house just wish they would also.
