I placed mine near a window, hidden in an oak leaf hydrangea. Chickadees, titmice, cardinals, finches love to drink and bathe there. It is a little deep for the smaller birds so I added some large pebbles to give them something to stand on and they love it! I was hesitant to leave it out once freezing weather came but decided to take a chance. It survived multiple days of temps in the teens but broke on a 34 degree day. Lesson learned!

This is a lovely addition to our bird feeding area. We have it close to a bird feeder and suet feeder. Birds are constantly drinking from it. Really easy to clean and change water daily. The water freezes in our cold Adirondack winters, but glass is quite sturdy. We just remove ice and provide fresh water in AM. Gave it 4 stars because of some color chipping.

The birds just love this water bowl. It can be close to the tree to protect them from predators. Easy to clean.
