Working great
Really liking these. The eye hook underneath let's us hang a black ring feeder there to weigh it down and stabilize it for those windy days. I modified this by adding 2 clear ramake(sp) cups to hold the seeds and mealworms, and to help exclude larger birds from partaking. The tight distance between the rain shield above and the platform really helps discourage the bigger birds, except red bellied woodpeckers, from getting in there. Added the cups to make it even harder for big birds to feed, but somehow, that doesn't stop the woodpecker from getting at the mealworms and shelled peanuts in the cups we installed. Haven't seen one redwing blackbird or grackle or morning dove to get in there to feed.
