I fill this with a mix to attract Eastern Bluebirds. The top adjusts to keep out bigger birds. It took 1 day to get Bluebirds to it??, very cool. Nuthatches like the mix I use too which I don't mind but the Starlings I can't keep out. I'm slowly lowering the cover to hopefully find the sweet spot. I use dried cran & yellow raisins & mealworms, I've started throwing nuts & suet nuggets in for the nuthatches. I'm happy!
