Weight sensitive collapsing tray tips down under the weight of a grey squirrel
The Tipper features four seed ports with a 10 inch diameter weight sensitive feeding tray. The large tray encourages cardinals and small songbirds to eat, but prevents grey squirrels from feeding. The feeding tray is calibrated to hold the weight of up to four cardinals.
An internal baffle design keeps seed flowing freely to the ports. The metal cap and feeder base are midnight black powder coated metal. Hanging, 21 inch long tube. Overall length 28 inches. Holds 5 pounds of seed.

Excellent, genuinely effective
I've had this for four years. It really is squirrel-proof, they try but never succeed. No need to put an extra baffle on the top -- the bottom is plenty. They quickly learn not to try. I also love how large a volume of seed it holds. With smaller feeders I need to refill them every few days, but this lasts more than a week between refills despite very high bird traffic. Highly recommended -- the investment is worth-it if you think about time savings long-term.

High Quality and Truely Squirrel Proof
High quality, well constructed and squirrel proof. The "local" squirrels that live in the same tree as the feeder hangs from don't even try anymore. It's fun to watch others try and fail. Somewhat expensive but a great value!

Great Feeder
I have had this feeder for about 5 years. It has a very large capacity and attracts all kinds of birds. I have never had a problem with squirrels stealing food even though there are many that live in the forest behind our house. It has been knocked off of it's hanger by a bear resulting in only minor damage and fell out of the tree during an ice storm with no damage. The company is easy to work with to replace any broken parts. It comes completely apart for cleaning.
