This was my first suet feeder purchase, and I am extremely pleased with it. The roof protects the suet cakes from rain, and the design has been resistant to wind, rain, and ice. It does sway a little as larger birds take off and in strong wind, but not much. It is easy to open and close to replace the cakes, and the closure so far has been durable. It's never fallen open, even with a couple of birds hanging on it at once. My winter birds have loved it and flock to it more than my other suet feeder. I've got cardinals, sparrows, chickadees, and blue birds on it almost constantly, often several at once. I would definitely purchase this again.
