I love the realistic look of this feeder. My goldfinches love it. It's hard to fill because of the bar across the top and the bottom has no drainage. After a good rain you will want to dump it to prevent seeds soaking and molding. I have had no breakage issues. It seems well made.

I've loved the look of these for a long time and finally bought one, despite reports of it not being strong enough to last. Mine lasted a few days before being broken off above the threaded base of the stem, so became useless. The seed basket part also began to fray, this damage was probably due to squirrels or raccoons. Best to use where you do not have mammals looking for feed.

This feeder attracts birds like no other I've ever had ..and I've had plenty! Woodpeckers, house finches, goldfinches, indigo buntings, chickadees, and nuthatches all seem to love this feeder. The doves peck around at the fallen seed beneath it. Plus, it's just really cool looking. I would have rated it 5 stars if it were made better. I've had 2 of them break where the mesh part is attached to the stem, and one the cap got stuck on and wouldn't come off. So now I don't screw the cap on all of the way, only a few turns to secure it, and I always have a backup feeder ready for when the next one breaks. If you like this feeder as much as I do, buy the 3 pack.

I received a damaged Cattail Wire Mesh Stake Feeder. I emailed Customer Service who responded promptly. I had a replacement within the week. The smaller birds took to it immediately and now get their fair share of sunflower seeds. I love, I will buy some more.
