This is a terrific squirrel feeder. It is made very sturdy. I have had it on the tree since last summer and it still is a good as new. It is easy to fill and the squirrels LOVE it. Helps to keep them away from my bird feeders. It is a blast to watch the squirrels chase each other to see who can get in the feeder first. They will crawl in the jar and sit there out of the rain also. I also have the hanging squirrel jar feeder from Duncraft for the squirrels, but this is my favorite. I like the other, but wish now I had gotten two of these. My only suggestion would be for them to make the entire holder of the durable eco material they use on their Hanging Squirrel Jar Feeder. That would make this just PERFECT. It could then go in the dishwasher for a thorough cleaning. (I hung mine from short chains over a branch next to the trunk as I don't like to put nails or screws into the trees. It fits snug up against the trunk of the tree just as if it was mounted by screws.)

This feeder does a great job of keeping my squirrels busy away from my bird feeders. Since squirrels can't seem to share, it's fun to see them chase each other around the yard while trying to maintain exclusive access to this feeder.

This squirrel feeder has given us many years of enjoyment watching them come and go into the jar to feed. We have served many families of squirrels with it. As the tree grew in size, the feeder became more warbly with the excessive traffic it attracts, so we had to get longer nails or screws to keep it secure. The birds love it too, though it's hard for them to recall how to leave the jar once inside!

This squirrel feeder does the job of diverting squirrels away from my many other feeders. It is also fun to watch them eat!
