I'm very disappointed in this feeder. I have the Super Tube Classic and the birds love it, but this one is a different story. Not sure why, but when I take it down and put up a different feeder, they all come back. I've left this feeder up for weeks at a time, but they don't like it. A lot of money to spend on a feeder that just sits there vacant. Also, if this had worked, a tray to catch seeds would've been a great addition.

Without a solid bottom tray to catch stray seeds, larger birds have no reason to hang on to the sides of this feeder and scare off the little birds.

I purchased this feeder, less the squirrel cage, back in 1984. The Florida sun finally degraded the poly tube and it shattered upon impact with a red tailed hawk. The replacement tube is more UV resistant so I hope to get at least 40+ years of use out of it.

Very durable and grey squirrels can't get in! However I have tiny red squirrels and they love it---bigger grey squirrels can't chase them away. Seems to work for the birds and the small squirrels. I have had this feeder for years and would buy it again.
