I had a smaller dome-shaped plastic baffle and after a while the squirrels learned how to drop from it on to the seed tray, and would eat all the food. But the squirrels haven't been able to get past this one. It looks huge coming out of the box, but once hanging up it doesn't look that big and the green color is very attractive. It's been pulled down by bears twice, when I have forgotten to bring the feeder in at night, and has survived with only a minor dent. I would definitely recommend this baffle!

Squirrels destroyed my last finch feeder by enlarging the seed openings. The baffle keeps squirrels off my new finch feeder. Have seen squirrels think they're leaping onto the feeder only to be completely stopped by the baffle. Once squirrlels land on the baffle, the only way they can exit is by their weight causing the baffle to tilt and the squirrel falls to the ground, unhurt of course.

My baffle was damaged during a wind storm but after seeing a review I called and talked to a very knowledgeable lady and replacement parts was sent to me.Now my baffle is working great to keep squirrels off. If you enjoy watching them trying to get into feeders, you should buy this baffle, its so funny watching them fall off. I know its quite pricy but worth the extra money.

While plastic baffles may or may not work, and will deteriorate or be damaged in a storm (or by a squirrel) This one keeps on doing it's job. While the initial cost is high, it will last for a lifetime, making it a real bargain.

I bought this guard mainly to keep the seed in my feeder dry when it rains. I've owned the first one for about 10 years now and it still looks brand new. It does keep the squirrels from getting to the feeder from the top.
