I bought this deck hook and one from Amazon at the same time. This one screws to any upright, while the Amazon one attached with a clamp. This one is head and shoulders better than the other one. Pros: 1. Simple, one long arm with a hook at the end 2. Very solid with the provided screws 3. At an angle and a length that can be reached from the deck. (The other one, I have to rotate back around towards me every time I want to change the hummingbird water). 4. The finish is good powder coating. (The other one had micron-thick black paint that flaked off and began rusting immediately). 5. In today's world, cost-effective. I fail to see how this simple two-piece construction is worth $39.95, but if it continues to be as satisfactory as it has been, it is money well spent. Cons: Haven't really found any yet.
