Sturdy
I just put my hanger together. The auger is awesome making it so sturdy. The height is perfect so that I have plenty of room between the squirrel baffle and bottom of longer type feeders. I am tall so i can still reach to hang the feeders. It was hard for me to spend this much but I do not regret it. I will have it for a long time and I believe it will hold up to any weather we have here in Indiana. I recommend this nice tall feed center. One comment I have about any shepherd hook. I have had two birds get caught in the little space where the hooks meet to go into the main stem. In my last shepherd hook I placed fillers in there to keep from these disasters. This Quad has a larger space so less chance of accidents, but I am still going to place something in there so this will not happen.

Not quite tall enough for Northern winters
I have had one of these poles for many, many years (purchased elsewhere, but same manufacturer). It is a terrific, extremely sturdy pole. My problem with it is that it's not tall enough if you live in an area with very snowy winters. Once there is a couple feet of snow on the ground the feeders aren't high enough to keep the squirrels out. They can just jump directly into the feeders. I wish there was a version of this that was 2 feet taller.

Very impressive feeder pole
At first I thought we wouldn't be ab;e to get it into the ground because there were no points on the ends of the pole & it's support brackets. However, it went in easily despite our rocky soil. FYI My husband used a sledge hammer which I do think is vital. Now we will see if it can withstand our heavy winds holding a Wild Bills Electronic Bird Feeder as well as 3 other lighter feeders. So far so good.
