My mother lives in a forest and really enjoys just watching the wildlife from her dining room window. So I bought her this feeder to place outside that window, because not only is it really cute to look at on its own, but it also fills very easily by opening the roof with just one squeeze; the fill opening is very large; and it holds a large volume of birdseed. It's well designed and doesn't wastefully dump a lot of seed on the ground by the feeding openings being too large. Consequently it doesn't need to be refilled constantly. It lasts several days without refilling. It's well crafted out of metal, with glass panels (not plastic) on each end to view the level of seed, and it's very durable. Many feeders are purely functional, but offer nothing of interest visually. This one is very visually attractive, besides being perfectly functional. Also, it's a very good price! I'd say this is probably the best overall birdfeeder I've ever bought! I've been so pleased with it, I've given it as a gift to another bird loving friend, and I plan to buy another for my mother.
