Just what I wanted
I was looking for a seed catcher to hang under my feeders. My feeders hang from my deck railing that is over my walkout basement. Other seed catchers were flimsy and didn't last long. These trays are well made and I feel positive that I will be enjoying these for years. And now I will be able to watch the ground feeders including the mourning doves...which I couldn't see before.

Good For Ground Feeders Like Mourning Doves
Very large tray. If you want to keep squirrels away use only safflower seeds. The doves love them as well as many other birds. Drains fairly well and is easy to clean.

Excellent Large Platform Feeder
I have the feeder hung in a medium-size shade tree (chinese elm) with other styles of feeders and a bird bath/water source. This attracts lots of desirable birds including mourning doves which are typically ground feeders. I cannot use a ground feeder because my dog and the beautiful sandhill cranes/geese/ducks/rabbits, etc,. in Central Florida eat up the seed too fast!
