This is a beauty once you manage to get it 'grounded'. The screw end pole does NOT penetrate medium to hard ground. I had to dig a hole, then secure it with packed dirt and pebbles. AND another word of warning: when using the screw driver to get it in the hole, WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES! My hand slipped on the driver and was pinched between it and the pole .. PAINFUL. An auger for the hole would be ideal. At any rate, my product is mounted, water is in there, and I'm waiting for the birds to find it. All in all it's a lovely shallow bath .. perfect for small birds. The only negative I have is the hassle of getting it in the ground.
