Indestructible!
This feeder confounds the squirrels and survives bear attacks. The feeder I currently have just survived its second bear attack with very minimal damage. It is worth every penny I paid for it and more. The cheaper squirrel proof feeders are easily destroyed by the bears and have to be replaced. I just purchased two more of these. And customer service is unbelievable!!

Lives up to its name.
I have had this feeder 2 years and the small finches and sparrows love it. And it lives up to its name. I have 3 CRAZY squirrels who continually try to get to the seed, but without success!

Cardinals prefer other style
This feeder is large and long, so if you have an 8 foot post and your sitting at your dining room table looking out the window, the bottom of the feeder will not be visible. (see photo with red circle). While the chickadees and finches like this feeder, the Cardinals do not. Squirrels try to get in, but in most cases give up and stay out. I have to fill my other feeder 15 times before filling this one once. Reason being, the birds in my back yard(including Cardinals) LOVE the Squirrel Buster (Mini, Standard,Legacy) The smaller feeder shown on the right side in attached photo. The perch is different and they prefer it over this one. I still would recommend this product, however, you need to have the appropriate height pole or tree to hang it from.

It worked for a while-
The birds seemed to love this feeder. But the squirrels figured out how to defeat it anyway. Part of my problem is that I have a very small area to put feeders (townhouse). So the squirrels can launch from a tree or fence and land on the feeder. They figured out how to jump and swing on it & make the seed fall out. This lasted only a couple of weeks & the wire cable frayed and broke. Now I'm searching again for another feeder. Have tried the cages & eventually they get them pried open. The ones with the plastic rings - the rings break or come off the perch slot. sigh.

It's a WAR...
I have loved watching the wily squirrels try and try unsuccessfully to get in to this feeder, then they would try to chew the metal off - nothing worked, until recently...and this is not a flaw in the design of the feeder...they started swinging on it like a trapeze. This morning, the feeder is gone....:-( They won....
