Birds seem to like...
I love the size of this feeder, and must admit the birds seem to love it. That said I would only feeder black oil sunflower from it because mine tends to clog up when I feed anything shell free or containing fruit. For straight shelled black oil sunflower though - this has been a good feeder. FYI - a video demonstrating how it works can be seen on YouTube at https://youtu.be/1RJr6t5xbQk

Great little feeder - that the mockingbirds leave alone!
What I love most about this feeder is that its easy to use, the birds love it, and its not big and crazy looking if I want to use it in my front yard. We have ours hanging from a tree in the front at it adds curb appeal and fun for our neighbors who walk by often and get to enjoy the birds with us. Great little feeder, that is plenty sturdy and though its made of metal it has held up really well and still looks the same as it did when it was new. Also I like that the mockingbird hasn't gotten territorial over the feeder and lets the other birds use it.

Great little feeder
I have really enjoyed this feeder. It is one of 10 feeders including 2 suet feeders that I have . So far no squirrels have been on it which is nice . I use black oil sunflower seeds.

Lasted over 5 years
Mine lasted a couple years before a squirrel stood on one of the perches and bent it off. The inner plastic tube became brittle after about 5 years. It started breaking apart so it doesn't hold as much feed. Removing the outer sleeve, filling and reassembling takes some getting used to. Got my moneys worth but not a life long feeder.

Great for small birds
but a little less so for the cardinals and flickers. I've had my feeder up for about a week, replacing an older worn out one, so many were already used to coming here for their daily feeding. I've noticed that our feeder seems more sensitive to the weight of the birds than the video does. It's fine for the cardinal when he's on the feeder on his own, but add a sparrow or two, and they might as well be a squirrel - the feeder closes up. I love the feature of the cage around the feeder, allowing the clinging birds great access. Over all I'm pleased, just wish it was a tad less sensitive to the weight. Maybe I have hefty, well fed badk yard friends that need a little help controlling their intake!
