I am disabled with ALS and even I could get this in the ground. This pole is rugged and beautiful. I actually laughed when I saw the squirrel baffle. It’s huge ! I live in Alabama and we have not had rain in a while so my ground was hard as a rock. I grabbed an 18” x 1” drill bit and my cordless drill. I drilled about 6 “ down and that was all my Milwaukee drill could handle. I grabbed my garden hose, turned on a low stream of water and anchored it pointing down in the hole. I left the water on for about 3 hours and it softened the ground enough to install the bottom section. There is a sticker on the bottom section that instructs you to put it in the ground to the point of the sticker which is about 16 “ - 18” inches deep. There is a hole in the bottom section that you can run a pole through for leverage in order to screw the bottom section into the ground. I broke 2 wooden broom handles because of the ground hardness. I then grabbed my 18” drill bit an it did the trick. I was able to get the pole to the depth of the sticker.

I have had this for one year and can attest that it works exactly as described. Squirrels have gotten frustrated and moved on! It is very attractive in my garden and functional. The bronze is beautiful. ** A suggestion to improve it would be to have a platform feeder attached in place of cardinal motif on top.

Easy to assemble, love the bronze, rugged, they only down fall is no dome to keep snow off it and nothing available. Sure hope it stops squirrels, will update when I fill Feeders. Little pricey, but holds up to 8. Cardinal top a little cheesy. But overall very good so far. Nice augers to put in ground.

We have a very bad squirrel problem in our neighborhood in Plymouth, MN. I have tried many products to stop them but nothing has worked until this product!!!!! I havent had to fill my feeders since I put it up in mid-October whereas in the past I would have had multiple fillings due to the squirrels!!! I thought I was just wasting my money again but this product is legit!! I will pay for the high cost in saved bird food costs in probably less than two years!!
