Squirrel's can't navigate this 44" hanger, but it's best to bring the feeder in each night at dusk as raccoons may damage the hanger in their efforts to get to the birdseed if it's left out overnight.

Just received our 44 inch hanger today. It was a breeze to put up and appears to be quite sturdy. For now....we are hanging our Hummer feeder from it but come fall....up goes the suet for the woodpeckers and nuthatches. We are very pleased with this adjustable swivel hanger.

I had to replace my attach to the rails extended arm hangers but the ones I found locally only expanded to 2 inches and would not fit. This one fits and I am happy. I am reluctant to ty the longer one afraid that it would cause twisting in the rail. I ordered the smaller length. I cam take the bird feeders off by just reaching out. My only suggestion is the arm should have some texture as the bird slide down when they perch on it to wait their turn. I had to wrap traction tape around to help them. I am so glad I could find something that would fit
