great feeder
I love this feeder & now have 12 of them so I rotate them in the winter when they get dirty. In the winter we feed sometimes up to 70 goldfinches at once. I hang 4 feeders at a time. Someone left negative feedback because the bottoms don't come off. One reason I like them is that the bottom is tightly secured. To clean out the bottom, take a white wire coat hanger and bend it about 4 times to make a 4 inch long handle leaving about a 6 inch cure at the end. I use the curved end to slide into the bottom holes to knock look any gummed up seed. Then dump it out. IT's a very easy way to keep the bottom and all the holes clean. Finches don't like gummed up or dirty food. Another great thing about them is that the bird foot holds don't slide around like they do with other feeder. I love this feeder and will definitely buy more of them if these ever wear out.

waiting for the birds
3 days up and still waiting for finches to feed up side down.Bought to discourage others from eating the nyger feed.I would just stick to the less expensive feeders of this type..cheaply construction, but will keep.
