Keep gray squirrels out of your suet cakes

Squirrels can't reach your suet at all. The weight-sensitive outer sleeve drops down and shuts off complete access to the suet the moment a gray squirrel lands on your feeder. Watch birds cling and feed from both sides. Keeps squirrels out, so your suet lasts longer. There's even a crumb tray to reduce waste and keep the area underneath your feeder clean. Easy no-mess refills, you won't even have to touch the suet when filling. Holds two suet cakes or two seed cakes. Durable green metal mesh sleeve. 8-1/4 x 4-1/4 x 26-1/2 inches tall, including the hanger.

  • Squirrel Buster Suet Feeder, holds 2 suet cakes
  • Keeps squirrels out, so your suet lasts longer all year-round
  • Adjustable weight-sensitive metal sleeve keeps out gray squirrels
  • Easy to clean & fill, without touching the suet

LOVE this suet feeder!
It took about a month for the birds to trust this brilliant contraption but now they are all over it! The squirrels don't even try. It's extremely well-constructed and It's very easy to clean, too. I highly recommend it.

Bird Feeder
I would buy this feeder again but
Suet cakes that were 1 1/4 inch deep did not fit in feeder. Had to cut and paste the suet in order to close the suet holder. Messy and inconvenient but not a deal breaker. Length and width of suet cake fine-just thickness that prevented the feeder from closing. Perhaps make the suet holder just a little larger? Will look for slimmer cakes. Otherwise a good suet feeder.

Well worth the money!
I have a LOT of trouble with squirrels here. I'm convinced that the ones in my yard have PhDs in mechanical engineering because they've been able to defeat all of my bird feeders except those made by Brome. At first I was a little reluctant because of the cost, but in the long run, this and the other Brome feeders have saved me a lot of money and aggravation. The squirrels here have finally been defeated!

Heavy Duty, and Keeps the Squirrels and Bird Birds Away
I have used Brome seed feeders before and have been very happy with them. When I saw they released a suet feeder I had to try it. I don't have issues with squirrels but when I feed suet the large birds (i.e. Blue jays, Mockingbird, Crows, etc.) knock out my suet cakes in a day or so. As a result the smaller birds (i.e. nuthatch, bluebirds, downy woodpeckers, etc.) never end up getting suet. Not the mention it starts getting expensive to feed that much suet. I have only had this feeder for a short time, but am very happy with it. The feeder is very similar in design to the squirrel buster and mini squirrel buster feeders in that it has a cage that fits over the feeder and moves up and down to allow or prevent animals from getting to the suet. The tension of the cage is adjustable so with just a couple twists of the tension nut you can allow or prevent large birds from getting suet. It feeds two suet cakes which load into plastic removable trays which makes cleaning very easy. One thing I will mention is this feeder is large in size so you will want to make sure you have a sturdy tree branch or arm to hang it from. Mine hangs from a metal feeder pole. It is kind of expensive but I have learned, you get what you pay for. It is very well built and will save you money over time keeping large birds and squirrels off your suet. I attached a video that I think will help demonstrate how the feeder works, hope this review helps.
