It's not easy to find a universal guard but this one comes close. I bought the large silver metal hooks to make it easier to hang my feeders up once I put the guards on the feeders. You might need to play around with locating the feeder where it's easier for the birds to fly up, yes up under the guard to land on your feeder. That being said, do not purchase these if you will end up with low overhang. They work best on feeders where there's sufficient space between the lowest feeder foot holds and the bottom of the guard edge. Most likely that's why you see these pictured on tube feeders. I have a triangle metal feeder that this works well on as the top of the triangle to the base is 13.5 inches.
