Maybe the mesh is too tight, but the birds will not use this sock. I've twisted it to make some seeds poke through, but they still will not come, and it's hung touching 2 other nyjer seed feeders.

I was very excited to have this as a supplementary feeder for my rather large flock of (40+) gold finches. I also have a smaller group of house finches. None of them will use this stocking. They will sometimes land on it, but they have never decided to feed from it. I've had it up for about two months now, to no avail. I've put fresh seed in and nothing seems to make a difference. This is a very pretty stocking, but the birds seem not to approve!
