I like this suet feeder!
I have a big problem with squirrels and blue jays and starlings. I solved the squirrel problem by getting a dedicated metal feeding tree. And now feed them corn on the bouncing corn feeder. This suet feeder helped me with the jays and starlings. The starlings DON'T like feeding upside down, they try it but leave quickly. The Jays have a hard time fitting themselves to get into the suet on this feeder. I set it up so the suet doesn't show beneath the plastic sleeve so the jays have to put their heads into the wire part and they prefer not to do that. Works for me!

Great Idea, Needs Improvement.
This really is a great idea. However, in the short time I have used this feeder, the grackles have learned to balance and have their fill. The chain has come out of the plastic unit several times. If stronger improvements were made, the feeder may be a better buy. For now, save your $ and invest in a better suet feeder. Would be super if Duncraft could build their own.
